Brief of Author Guidelines
Abstract
Word Limit: 250 – 350 words and 3-5 keywords
The extended abstract
2,000 to 2,500 words, The extended abstract should comprise the introduction, method, findings and discussion, conclusion, and references.

Keynote Speakers
Aruna Perera, CFA
President
CFA Society Sri Lanka
Aruna is a leading finance professional counting over two decades of experience in Financial Analytics, Corporate Finance, and Valuation management primarily in the blue-chip and corporate sectors in Sri Lanka. He obtained his CFA charter in 2007 and has been a board member of CFA Society Sri Lanka since 2015. Before he was appointed as the President, he served the Society in multiple roles including Vice President, Treasurer, GIPS Standards Chair, Research Challenge Chair, and University Outreach Chair.
Aruna currently works as the Group Chief Financial Officer at Analytical Instruments (Pvt) Limited (AIPL). Before joining AIPL, he was the Director of Corporate Finance and Valuation Consulting at PwC Sri Lanka. During his career of 25 years, Aruna has worked in multiple organizations including Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services (Pvt) Ltd, John Keells Holdings PLC, and Ernst & Young Sri Lanka.
Aruna holds an MBA from the University of Leicester, UK, and a BSc (accounting) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is also an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
Professor (Mrs.) Shantharuby Buvanendra

Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo
Professor Shantharuby Buvanendra has been serving at the University of Colombo since 2009, previously at the University of Jaffna as a Senior Lecturer. Currently, she holds the position of Professor of Finance and coordinates the MBA in Finance program at the Faculty of Management and Finance. Additionally, she serves as the Director of Finance Education at the Sri Lanka Finance Association (SLFA) and has previously headed the Department of Finance.
She earned her Ph.D. in Finance from Pondicherry University, India, an MBA with a gold medal in Quantitative Techniques from the University of Colombo, and a First Class BBA degree with a finance specialization from the University of Jaffna. Notably, she received the Indian Government Commonwealth Scholarship in 2012 and the Australian Award Fellowship (AAF) in 2017, conducting post-doctoral research at Monash University, Australia.
Prof. Buvanendra actively conducts research, teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and supervises research at various levels. Her research interests span Capital Structure, Corporate Governance, Behavioral Finance, Financial Wellbeing, and Entrepreneurship. She has editorial experience, having served as the Editor of the Colombo Business Journal (CBJ) and currently as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Emerging Financial Markets and Policy (JEFMP) for the SLFA.
