Training program on Python and Machine Learning and Equity Analyst – CFA Society

CFA Society Sri Lanka conducted two types of training programs on Python and Machine Learning and Equity Analyst under the process of entering into the MOU agreement with the Department of Financial Management. One staff and two students were selected for the training on Python and Machine Learning.

The training commenced on 28^th September 2021 and was conducted for 11 virtual hours. It covered basic knowledge of using python for analytics, practical application of statistics, practical portfolio optimization in python, and implementing basic machine learning in python. Three students were selected for the training on Equity Analyst commenced on the 24^th of September 2021. It was conducted for 25 virtual hours and supported the participants in understanding the entire equity valuation process, specifically gaining knowledge on industry analysis, financial model building, equity valuation methodologies, and investment note writing.
