Colombo Business Economic Summit is the promising inaugural project of the Business Economics Students’ Association (BESA) of the Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo, which was held on the 26th of March 2024 at the University of Colombo premises. They had three events under this program which were the Policy Pitching Contest, Quiz Competition, and Emerging Young Economist (EYE) Contest.
From Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Jaffna, a team of four students from third year participated in the quiz competition and secured second runner up position among the 28 teams and won cash prize of Rs. 15,000. Further they won the trophy for “Most popular team” in social media.

Details of three rounds
| 1st round | All registered teams answered 30 MCQs which will be displayed on the digital screen. Subject areas : Business Economics and Management 10 teams who scored the highest marks were selected for the second round. |
| 2nd round | The selected 10 teams were given 10 questions. Subject area: Business Economics Five (05) teams who scored the highest marks were selected for the final round. |
