Global Accreditation For Financial Management Program | IFA and IPA Accreditation
The Department of Financial Management, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, is delighted to announce that the Bachelor of Business Administration Honours in Financial Management degree program has received official accreditation from two renowned international organizations:
- The Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA), UK
- The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), Australia
This milestone was achieved on June 13, 2024, affirming the program’s global standards and the exceptional opportunities it offers to graduates.
About IFA and IPA
The Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA), established in 1916, is a recognized body under HM Treasury in the UK, with full
membership in the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), founded in 1923, is one of Australia’s most respected professional accounting bodies and a full member of IFAC.

Key Benefits of Accreditation
- Graduates with at least one year of relevant accounting/finance work experience can apply for Intermediate Financial Accountant (IFA) membership.
- Graduates are eligible for dual membership with the IPA (Australia) at no additional cost.
- Graduates seeking Associate Financial Accountant (AFA) membership are exempt from all modules except one in the IFA direct education program. They need to:
- Complete and pass the Corporate Reporting for Strategic Business – Advanced module.
- Have at least three years of relevant accounting/finance work experience.
- Gain AFA membership along with dual membership with the IPA.
